Q3 2023 Market Review

The stock market reversed course in Q3, slowing the ongoing climb back to highs that were set in January 2022. The US stock market fell 3.25%, while international stocks were down 4.1% and emerging markets were down 2.93%. Bonds were also down as interest rates continued to rise, and the Federal Reserve continued with rate hikes, bringing the federal funds rate to 5.25-5.50%.  The US bond market was down 3.23% while global bonds were down 0.78%.
